Creating A New Release

 

Step 1: Sign into your account

Step 2: As soon as you have gained access, you will catch sight of the following pictures:

To start with, the lineup has these particular words Home, Distribution, Agreement, Frequently Asked Question, Contact Us, Sign off.

The second row is for generating and proofreading your publications, and also, to verify your transaction statements and to oversee your account.

Step 3: Click on Generate New Release. The following image materializes;

It is separated into four easy-going steps;

Enter Release Info - Insert Release Information

Enter Track Info - Key in Track Information

Upload Audio Files - Upload the Soundtrack

Get Your Music Online - Get your music on the Net.

Step 4: Click the tab that displays Enter Release Information. Insert the musician’s name. The front line is for typing in the name of the musician.

Take note that you can only use one musician’s name for each account.

In case you have two separate project names, you may have to create a new account and sign up with the other name. If you are uncertain of what to do, locate the blue question mark on the left-hand side of the input lines and click on it.

Step 5: Insert the Title of the release.

The second input line is for entering the title of the soundtrack or the name of the album. If the song you want to publicize is a single, then you will need to input the title of the single. On Enter Track Information tab, you will have to key in the name again. If it’s EP or Album, you will input the title of the project, and at the Enter Track Info tab, you will type in the name of the songs.

Step 6: On the third input line, type in your record label production. It will show up like an artwork and look like the image below;

Take note: the date of the release will appear show up there and beneath that, the year it was copyrighted as well as the name of the record label or the name of the production firm.

Step 7: The barcode, otherwise known as the UPC is typed in on the fourth line. In case you don’t possess one, we will make one available to you free of charge.

Beware of the fact that the bar code we present to you is to be used only for digital transactions. It is not meant to be used for physical compact disks.

Step 8: You will come to a drop down list of options on the fifth line for you to choose the category your music fits in.

Step 9: On the sixth line, you will come upon another drop down list of program options to choose the year of the copyright of your project.

Step 10: On that same line, on the right-hand side of the copyright drop down menu, you will locate a tab called Store Date. It is on this tab you will be able to input the date you plan to release your single, EP or Album.

Step 11: You can select the language of your soundtrack by clicking on the drop down list of options with English as the heading.

Step 12: On another drop down list labeled # of tracks, type in the number of soundtracks you want to make available to the public.

Step 13: Click on “Add Cover Art File” and upload the work of art of your release.

Take note, however that the format of the cover artwork should be in jpeg RGB mode with a minimum of 1400 x 1400 pixels, though 2400 x 2400 pixels is permitted. This is the best degree of clarity for iPhones and iPads.

Step 1.  On the first line enter the name of the release.

Step 1: On the first line, input the title of your release.

Step 2: On the second line, type in the particular genre of the soundtrack. Club Mix, DJ Mix and so forth. If you don’t have another version, then ignore this step.

Step 3: If you have ISRC code, this is where you type it in. In case you don’t have one, we will give you the ISRC code for free.

Please take note: The ISRC code is operational only on digital transactions. You are not permitted to use them on physical compact disks.

Step 4: You will find a drop down list of program options, located on the fourth line, where you will find a range of possibilities to choose from.

  • No explicit lyrics - No verses that portray lewdness
  • With explicit lyrics -   Stanzas that are sexually explicit or portray lewdness
  • Cleaned

Step 5: The composer’s information is entered here.

If you composed the song, then input your name twice; one for originator and the other for verses. Clicking on the composer tab, a drop down list of options shows up with some alternatives to choose from;

  • Composer
  • Featuring
  • Lyricist
  • Arranger
  • Remixer

When you have typed in the name of the soundtrack writer, you will see a blue + icon on the right-hand side. Click on it and you will see the name drop down. Once again, input the name of the composer and click on the blue + icon. That means you are, though.

Step 6: On this line, you will need to type in the name of the broadcasting firm.

On the tab that displays Producers, once again input the name of the broadcasting company. Type in the name of the producer, then click on the blue+ icon that is on the right-hand side and a drop down list of options appears. Then you are through. You can go ahead to upload the audio file.

Upload audio files

Step 1: On the line that displays Browse and Upload Audio (Wav), click on the tab and look for the audio file on your computer system. Select the audio file in Wav. format and start the uploading process.

Take note: the Wav. audio file has got to be 16-bit and 44.1 kHz. Mp3 audio files are not acceptable, only Wav. files. Once the uploading starts, a green bar indicating the progress of the upload appears on your computer monitor and fills up to the right until loading is complete. 

Note: Only Wav. files are acceptable. The system will reject all other formats. The following and final step is to test the audio file by clicking on the play button alongside where it displays Audio Present.

Pay attention and listen to the entire soundtrack as it plays to the end. Audio files have been known to become corrupt mostly due to the slow internet speeds. It will not be proper to release a corrupt single on the Net, so ensure the audio playback is perfect. Once you’ve confirmed this, go ahead and upload the song to the internet.

Get your music online

You have two choices to make here

1.    The first is to distribute the soundtrack on the web, or

2.    To hold back the information and have it released in the future.

To upload your song to the internet, just click on the “Finish” tab and follow the easy step-by-step payment process. You are about to become a prosperous entrepreneur in the music industry.

Taking Down Your Music

To take down your music you must do the following.  The takedown fee is $20.00 per Single, Ep or Album.

Login and click on My Releases.

Then click on the pencil icon next to where it says delivered.

Then click on the World icon that has a Red X and follow the instructions.

In the event that there are any pending sales it will take a little over a month to payout your final digital music sales balance.
